What Happens at Your Vet Appointment

Here is some information to help you prepare yourself and your pet leading up to your first vet visit.

Get Settled

Once you arrive you will wait in the waiting area and follow any check-in processes that the team suggests while you wait to see the vet.

Meet Your Veterinarian

Once you meet with your vet, they will discuss your pet, their medical history and your concerns with you.

Examination, Diagnosis & Treatment

Your vet will then perform a thorough examination as well provide a diagnosis and treatment options for your pet's specific needs.

Your vet will be sure to explain everything to you in detail and create a chart for your pet which will be used at future visits. This chart contains your pet's health history, their diagnosis as well as any treatment plans.

FAQs For Our Hospital

Learn more about our office policies, payment options, and appointment booking by reading through our hospital FAQs.

  • What are the payment options that are available?

Payment in full is expected at the time services are provided or upon discharge of your pet. We accept various methods of payment.

  • Are there payment plans available for my pet’s care?

While our pet hospital does not offer financing, we recommend that our clients look into pet care financing through Petcard.

  • Do you provide quotes for potential services?

We always aim to be transparent for our clients. We are happy to provide quotes for all services that your pet will be receiving. However, there will be times when unexpected charges occur such as required tests or necessary service changes.

We will always fully explain the quote that we have provided you as well as why each of those services was required.

  • Do you require clients to call and book appointments?

Yes, our clinic operates as an appointment-based clinic.

However, we are able to manage emergency care situations during regular business hours, so please contact us.

  • What is the cancellation policy at your hospital?

We ask that you please call with plenty of notice if you need to cancel your appointment.

While in certain situations you may be unable to make your appointment or call to cancel and we understand that things happen. But after the first missed appointment there will be repercussions.

  • What is your late and no show policy?

NO SHOW POLICY: Your appointment time is reserved just for you. We require 48 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling. “No Show” appointments will be billed for a full examination. We understand extenuating circumstances do arise; please discuss this with a member of our Client Care Team for more information. If two (2) no-shows occur in a row or within a calendar year, the client will be required to pre-pay for the exam portion of any future appointments. *The rate of 24% per annum or 2% per month finance charge is applied to any outstanding accounts.

LATE POLICY: Due to the increased demand for veterinary care in our community and the high volume of appointments we see we are unable to accommodate late appointments. In the event you are late for your appointment it will be considered a no show and you will be charged the full cost of the exam and will be asked to reschedule.
